Chronic lack of financial will and largesse is a primary culprit, but we’re also battling against a Canadian distribution system which heavily favours American and European product as well as the unfortunate, ingrained attitude that Canadian films are inherently inferior to mainstream films from Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9668842.post-1168546431065894602007-01-11T15:13:00.000-05:002007-01-11T15:13:00.000-05:00Off-topic: I discovered the first two and a half m...Off-topic:

I discovered the first two and a half minutes of Idiocracy on Ebaums.

http://www.ebaumsworld.com/2007/01/why-idiots-prevail.htmlAlex Jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13028946403342782184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9668842.post-1168507756230969722007-01-11T04:29:00.000-05:002007-01-11T04:29:00.000-05:00Could you tell me anything about this bilingual fi...Could you tell me anything about this bilingual film Bon Cop, Bad Cop? I'm told that it was Canada's most successful domestic film (unadjusted for inflation), although most of its box office draw came from Quebec. If true, has there been any kind of an attempt from the Canadian film industry to capitalize on that success? Not brilliant, but it was trying.
